Peter C.M. Vijn, Ph.D.
Peter holds a Ph.D. in Biology at the University of Amsterdam and is educated in physiology, electronics and computer programming. Combining these disciplines, he has worked for many years in data-rich academia and pharmacology settings of commercial life science companies as 'Lead Pharmacology Informatics'. He has massive hands-on experience with all facets of a large data-management and paper-less laboratory automation system that he designed, built, integrated, trained and operated as a legacy system for Organon BioSciences, Schering-Plough and Merck in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. By interacting with and listening to scientist at all levels across chemistry, biology and medical disciplines he has acquired a strong capacity to identify and understand R&D specific working-processes and strategies.

Peter has a wide and deep understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of commercially available systems in the mainstream. He works with selected vendors on significant product improvements towards developing and building the data-management systems of the future.

Peter is passionate to apply his multidisciplinary knowledge, skills and experience to help people adapt to the ever changing world of data and information tools, thereby contributing to the success of organizations in the life sciences.
